Unplugged and Inspired: Utah Families Turn to High Adventure Camp with Emotional Depth
Mojo Village, a New Summer Camp Experience Empowers Teens to Unplug, Reflect, and Build Inner Strength Through Adventure Program for Teens
For parents looking to offer their teens more than just a distraction this summer, Mojo Village is launching a first-of-its-kind adventure camp that blends outdoor excitement with intentional emotional growth.
Held July 30–August 2 in Utah’s Uinta Mountains, Mojo Village offers a therapist-designed and mentor-led experience where teens ages 14–18 unplug from technology, reconnect with nature, and develop tools to navigate life with confidence, clarity, and courage.
Not Just Another Summer Camp
Unlike typical camps focused solely on recreation or supervision, Mojo Village is built for families who value growth, intentional living, and emotional well-being. Its founders—Elizabeth Seeley, Master of Social Work (MSW) graduate and youth facilitator, and James Ure, a nationally recognized alternative education leader—have designed every element of the camp to spark self-discovery, connection, and personal development.

“At Mojo Village, we’re not handing teens a blueprint,” says Seeley. “We’re giving them space to slow down, tune in, and get curious about who they’re becoming. No masks, no checklists—just honest connection and room to grow.”
Nestled in Utah’s high-elevation Uinta Mountains, the camp offers paddleboarding, hiking, rock climbing, and late-night campfire talks—woven together with trauma-informed programming and soulful life coaching. These moments help teens build emotional literacy, self-awareness, and real-life social connection—skills that go far beyond the campfire.

Teens are craving challenges that actually light them up
A Safe, Guided Space for Teens to Grow
What sets Mojo Village apart is its therapist-informed design. Every activity is guided by a team of experienced mentors, including licensed therapists and educators who understand teen development and emotional safety.
“Teens are craving challenges that actually light them up,” says Ure. “When they have a chance to ditch the noise and plug into conversations and adventures they really care about, they open up and share their real selves.”
Built for Families Who Care About Intentional Growth
Mojo Village is specifically designed for intentional families—those seeking experiences that align with their evolving family values, whether they’re navigating new belief systems, raising emotionally aware kids, or simply looking for something more than the status quo.
“Parents today are looking for experiences that do more than entertain,” adds Seeley. “They want their teens to build inner capacity, emotional resilience, and meaningful connections. That’s what Mojo Village is here to offer.”

Elizabeth Seeley is a graduating MSW student from the University of Utah and a mother of three. She has over a decade of experience supporting teens through grief work and group facilitation and is deeply passionate about preventive mental health.
James Ure is the co-founder of Williamsburg Learning and Elevation Outdoors. A father of four, Ure is a nationally recognized leader in teen-centered curriculum and alternative education.
