Woodbine Food Hall welcomes new vendor Rusty Birds Cafe
Rusty Birds Cafe, recognized as one of the best chicken spots in Salt Lake City, joins Woodbine Food Hall
Woodbine Food Hall in Salt Lake City is excited to welcome its newest vendor, Rusty Birds Cafe, bringing its signature savory rotisserie chicken to the popular eatery.
“At Woodbine Food Hall, we’re always looking for local concepts that bring something distinctive to our guests. We’ve been wanting a health-focused vendor for a while. Rusty Birds is the perfect addition to our lineup,” said Emmily Jones, General Manager of Woodbine Food Hall.
Rusty Birds Cafe is focused on offering a healthy dining experience at an exceptional value. Its signature chicken is brined overnight before being added to delectable wraps like the Chipotle Ranch Wrap, Buffalo Ranch Wrap, Chinese Crunch Wrap, and more. The menu also features fresh salads, including the Cali Salad, Green Goddess, and Chicken Caesar Salad.
Complete your meal with a refreshing smoothie, whether you’re enjoying a salad, sandwich, or wrap. Favorites include the Green Day, made with mango, pineapple, banana, and spinach, and the Surf Shack, blended with strawberry, mango, and acai berry.
Like many startups, we faced challenges and setbacks, but we persevered and finally achieved a breakthrough this year,”
Rusty Birds Cafe first opened in October 2024 in Austin, TX. In April 2025, the restaurant looked for an opportunity to relocate to Utah at Woodbine, before ending up in a shared space at Square Kitchen Eatery. Now, Rusty Birds is excited to continue its chapter in the state in Woodbine Food Hall.
“Like many startups, we faced challenges and setbacks, but we persevered and finally achieved a breakthrough this year,” said Rusty Bartolay, owner of Rusty Birds Cafe. “Just as our lease was ending in April, we had a second chance to reconnect with Woodbine. This time, the timing was perfect, and we were able to move into the space we had envisioned since relocating to Utah. Now, after over a month at Woodbine Food Hall, we know this is exactly where our business belongs. We’re thrilled to grow and excited for the future in our new home.”
During its first year in Utah, Rusty Birds Cafe has already received recognition as one of the best chicken spots in Salt Lake City, placing 3rd in the Best of SLC Awards for the chicken category and earning Restaurant Guru Recommended status.
